Hi all,

Ran in to a little problem today. Situation is as follows.

Domainbla.com is hosted with some other party. It has one DNS record pointing at my server: da.domainbla.com, because we needed a website at da.domainbla.com. So I added the domain domainbla.com in the directadmin system.

But now, I have some forwarders with other domains forwarding to [email protected]. These forwarded e-mails are not send out anymore, because DA thinks the complete domainbla.com is hosted with me. But domainbla.com still is with another party, and mail needs te be delivered at another server than mine.

How can I fix this?

Thanks a lot.

The easiest solution would have been to not create the domain on your server but only the subdomain.

You can still solve the problem that way: simply change the name of the domain from domainbla.com to da.domainbla.com, and then move the data from the da subdirectory to the parent (public_html) directory. When finished be sure to check that there's a DNS record for da.domainbla.com and no DNS record for domainbla.com.

Or you can from the site user control panel change the MX record. The instructions are on the page and are quite clear.
