web page addresses

Hi there,
I am a newbie and am not very knowledgeable about the techie side of web design. I have one simple query- how do I change some of my web page addresses on my website? e.g. how do I change http://www.eddennehy.com/_mgxroot/page_10733.html to http://www.eddennehy.com/Careerplan ?

I know its not a major issue but its a pain in the ass and doesn't look very professional.

You can do it with an .htaccess file and rewrite rules.

Please, do not ask for a tutorial, we have google to handle that.
