Webmail problem. I need help! customers chewing my head off

when try Squirrelmail, this error happened

Error Message:
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost.
61 : Connection refused

when use Uebimiau, this error happened

ERROR (2): Header may not contain more than a single header, new line detected. (/var/www/html/webmail/inc/inc.php:169)

both webmail was working before. what's going on? how do i fix it?

this happen when using php 4.4.2. it is a known issue.
