webmail: uebimiau has gone Bye Bye

Guys what happend to my webmail: uebimiau webmail
It is not there any more and my Squirel wemail icon in the middle has
disappeared too

And when I click on webmail at the top left I go in to login to squirel

I get this

ERROR
Error opening ../data/default_pref
Default preference file not found or not readable!
Please contact your system administrator and report this error


Last night I was playing with some configuration file in my system to make it secure.

search in internet the whole day found some stuff played around for a few hours but got nothing
Now need your help please

will I loose email?
will others use email?

I did all successfuly but still do not have uebimiau
and my squirrel webmail gives me

I am searching for the last 10 hours , there are 1000 articles none of the one I saw helped me so what nowwwwwwww??

If you want to change the webmail link back to uebimiau then you have to edit /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf

Change the variable:

webmail_link=squirrelmail

to

webmail_link=uebimiau

Then restart directadmin:

/sbin/service directadmin restart

Well then you need to add the link maybe its not there by default.

webmail_link=uebimiau

On its own line in /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf

Then type: /sbin/service directadmin restart
