website down after username change

Hiya i was following this guide and changing username in ssh for one of my account http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=193

However after changing i get this message in ssh:

Starting MySQL. SUCCESS!
Can't open /home/unikver/domains/*/awstats/.data/*.conf: No such file or directory.

And the next thing i went to my joomla website, it says cannot connect to mysql database, but when i change back the username, the site is completely down, any idea?

I think maybe its because i did not change the mysql database username also, how do i change mysql username?

Changing the username in DirectAdmin changes it for the mysql user as well. I found this out the hard way recently and posted about it. Search these forums for more information.
