Website down one minute, up the next - nothing being picked up on error logs.

Hi All,

I have a really annoying problem at the moment - I'm absolutely stuck for why this is happening.

I have a DA with the following spec:

DirectAdmin		1.63.0
Dovecot		2.3.16 (7e2e900c1a)
Exim		4.94.2
MySQL		10.5.12
Named		9.11.4
OpenLiteSpeed		1.7.14

The website itself is a WordPress site - Busy but not globally busy.

Every day - around the same time give and take 30 to 40 minutes, the website this server is driving hangs anywhere between 2 to 15 minutes and then comes back online itself - no intervention from us. Often, the website is reported to be down and before we manage to get logged in, its back up.

We've checked the server logs, server does not crash, openlitespeed logs - no crash. From a web browser, no 500, 403, 404 or 400 error codes - Web browser just hangs on loading.

I have checked the server usage and the ONLY thing that sticks out to me that happens on a daily basis is a spike in the VPS IO which on most occasions happens when the website hangs - but again this is not consistent and its not over the VPS limit

Throw some ideas at me, because this has got me stumped!

Could be due to Mysql load and possibly needs some tuning. This is a handy tool to check your mysql:

Could be backups being run.
Possibly another user on the same physical node.
