What happens during DA update?

Hi all,

I'm interested in updating our DA installation for the first time since we started using it a few months back. I believe we have version 1.21.3 running, and version 1.224 is now out.

I see the "Update DirectAdmin" link at the bottom of the Licensing/Updates page, but haven't clicked it yet. Do I have to back anything up? Will any of my user's setting be lost? I'm just wondering what should be done before clicking the link.

Just click on it; that's all.

Until recently, DA used to self-update. The DA staff removed that feature because a few people were having problems with automatic updates or for some reason needed to use an older version.

But it's quite automatic, and neither you nor your users should notice anything.
