What is device name for dedicated server?

Okay i think getting the device name is always a problem for me every time i perform a new installation of directadmin



So my question is how do i know the exact and correct device name to use?

Right now my dedicated server has it's own static IP address, so is the IP address the device name?

or does it go like this

eth0:"ip address"

I mean how do i know this for certain?

I guess you need to read a book and learn basics. It's not the right place to learn such things. In case you have no time for that, there are some persons, who can give you a hand to do a commerce service for you. So my piece of advice would be either spend time to learn things or hire somebody to do the job.

A hint on the subject.
