what is status of zip and unzip features

HI,

what is status of zip and unzip in DirectAdmin. Is it still in BETA version ? https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=895

Is there any issue to use zip features instead of tar.gz because tar.gz use more space compare to zip and .zip is very common to use. In Cpanel it was used since manytimes ago and i wanted to use zip in DirectAdmin. But it show BETA in https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=895 and so i am very surprised that zip is in BETA version.

Let me know if i misunderstood anything. I need to activate this zip in my server and so want to know before activate anything it. I always prefer to use zip and not tar.gz.

Actually issue is that if i create zip or tar.gz in server and when i unzip it then it create relative folder in unzip also, which i dont want. I want that it should only create zip folder which i have created and should not create folder in zip or tar.gz.



For example if i have one domain "xyz.com" and if there is one folder "test" in public_html folder. Now suppose if i right click on "test" folder and zip (or tar.gz) it then first it create sub folder in unzip like this domains/xyz.com/public_html/ and then i can see actual "test" folder in.

This is wrong. Actually in unzip , i should be able to see "test" folder directly and not domains->xyz.com->public_html folder.

How to resolve this issue in DA ?
