What is the difference between owned, share and free ip for reseller

Hi,

I've 10 ip and I want to add a new domain. I tried to add a new reseller and assigned an ip to this reseller. But what should be the ip's status? Owned, free or share? There will be only one domain under this reseller.

The IP addresses' status should be 'owned' if it is properly assigned to a user. I've attached a screen shot from a server I have access to which utilizes different IP addresses for different websites.

Ok I do that but with this way users can access my site with some different ways for example;

www.mydomain.com
pop.mydomain.com
mail..mydomain.com

All these urls are display my frontpage. We discussed this issue before and it is said that it is about owned ip problem.

It happens because mail.example.com and pop.example.com all point to the same owned IP. If you don't want uses to be able to reach your site with (for example) mail.example.com, simply point it (in DNS) to the main server IP. It'll still work for mail, but it won't give website access.
