What version of FrontPage is supported on DA?

The latest (last) version of FrontPage and FPX released by Microsoft.

DA doesn't support the new software by default (though a hosting company may support it). A bit of googling leads me to believe the latest version is FP2005, but I can't be positive.

They stopped offering updates quite a long time ago. The latest version we have is FrontPage/5.0.2.2510 I believe. I anyone can find the newer version, by all means let me know. It's no longer offered from rtr anymore, hence updating becomes hard to do when no update it made available ;)

If you're a host and don't need to use frontpage, I would advise removing the LoadModule line for mod_frontpage from your main httpd.conf.

As for the frontpage clients, I believe the module support the feature update to FP2002, although the FP2005 client should be backwards compatible, you'd just lose out on some features.

And.. I'm pretty sure that "FrontPage" isn't a product from microsoft anymore anyway.. they're moving to something else which uses a standards compliant file uploader (mod_dav) so it won't be as buggy or as much of a hack...but knowing MS, im sure they'll find a way to mess it up ;)
