Where to add PayPal's .PEM files?

On CentOS 7 where do I add PayPal's updated .pem files to make sure my server's in compliance with their updated CA's?

I researched it for a bit and the information seems to be a bit inexact in this area, which lead me to add the files listed here to the following directory on my server:

/etc/pki/ca-trust/extracted/pem/

I attempted to follow PayPal's instructions here:

Maybe you just need to run: /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/build php_cacert

I ran it, but I'm not sure what it does for me? The docs seemed to be a little thin in this area:

It update the cacert for latest PHP releases (that require it to able able to create SSL connections).
