Hi there,

I´m planning to buy directadmin, only question is on what OS is going to run.

I have experience with the following OS´s:

Redhat
Mandrake
SUSE
Debian ---- most experience
Freebsd 4.x
Solaris

My question is on which OS it runs the best ? i´m thinking about freebsd because its very stable but i dont know if DA runs fine on the freebsd 5.x or 5.3 version.

Please give feedback and opinions....

Thanks in advance

Its mainly personal preference. RedHat is one of the most used due to the rpm packages available. I would stay away from SuSE, its mainly for ease of use as a desktop. Debian doesn't have an "official" DA release yet. Its still in beta. FreeBSD, there are some people here that will argue for that one. ;) But its all about personal preference.

jerry2005,
I would suggest going with the Operating System you have the most experience with unless your possibly looking for something new to try.

In my case DirectAdmin has been running perfecly on Debian for the past several months.

Thanks for the advice , only have 1 small question is it difficult to switch between OS's ? Because i want to try it on debian and Freebsd , is that a problem adjust the license ? (switching)
