WHMCS - DA - FTP Account

Hi Guys,

For a new little project im looking at doing I'm wanting to set things up so clients can buy FTP space thats automatically created and suspended via WHMCS.

I am aware that this can be done with actual web hosting accounts via an API but literally, all I want is an account to be created with a subdomain off of my own domains with FTP and SSH read/write access.

Is this doable and if so, is anybody able to point me in the right direction of how to do this or even better make themselves available to be hired for this little job

DirectAdmin is a webhosting control panel. While it can create an ftp user through the API, and while you may be able to get the folk who write WHMCS to create the tools to use the API to do that, you'd still have to either use a pre-existing account on DirectAdmin or create a new one.

Perhaps the easiest way to do this is to create a reseller just for hosting these ftp-only accounts, and under that reseller create one package which offers minimal options and uses a special skin with only ftp enabled; nothing else. Then create a special welcome email for that reseller's accounts and teach WHMCS (I don't know how) to create accounts under that reseller.
