Why DirectAdmin Not Upgrade 2 last Mysql

Quite simple, MySQL 4.1.x does bring some new strange 'features' with it, think of encrypting passwords on a new way which will cause DirectAdmin stop working. Not to mention all the existing user accounts which are already there doing an upgrade !

In 4.0.23 are no exploits found so why upgrading a well working product ? This would be same as tuning your car when its already driving 240km/h, all you can get is (new) problems.

I actually don't mind they decided not to go along with the new version. As software developer I ran to different problems with the new versions.

Direct Admin installs MySQL 4.1 on new installations.
So every new server should have 4.1, at least with Debian, it does.

I recently reinstall DA (with CentOS4) and it came with MySQL 4.1.
But I found some problem to use it.
How can I downgrade MySQL 4.1 to MySQL 4.0.23 ?

Regards,
Ayu
