Why does this tutorial say we have to upload into an SSL site via private_html

It's actually not a very good video as it doesn't return with the certificate to paste it in, but at the end of the vid he, out of nowhere, states that you have to upload all your things to private_html. What happens if you already had all your stuff in public_html before, do you have to cut and paste it all into private_html too? And why do we have to do this anyways, I certainly haven't seen it done with other panels.

Actually its optional, in case you want something different on ssl than on http. If you want ssl on public_html then go to Domain Administration -> click the domain -> and tick the box that says "Use a symbolic link from private_html to public_html - allows for same data in http and https"
