hi there,
ive read through a lot of posts on hundreds of different forums to try and find an answer to this:
Ive seen it done quite a few times - a subdomain automatically created using some SSI language.
Ive got a .htaccess file that redirects a wildcard subdomain to domain.com/subdomain, and ive set up the DNS so a wildcard CNAME directs to domain.com. The .htaccess file is in the /public_html/ folder.
Now when anyone enters subdomain.domain.com it links to a apache/SSL welcome page, not domain.com/subdomain as desired!!!!!!!
Im using a shared IP address, and im no longer using virtual nameservers.
Is this at all possible using direct admin?
Cheers to anyone that can help me with this one!
