Will Suspending a reseller/user account suspend everything for that user?

Hi all,

I've found a couple of my customers who are spammers, and have suspended their account. My question is, are they allowed to still use the mail server to send mail with their username and password? When you suspend an account, it suspends access to every single item that was associated with that user account, correct?

Just making sure I'm taking the appropriate steps necessary.

Thanks in advance.

not sure about mail (it should) but it doesn't suspend their DNS, so everything is still pointed to the server.

DNS is fine, it's the mail server access I'm wondering about.

Thanks for the response - anyone else care to chime in?

My recollection is that it blocks email as well, but you should probably test.

The easy way to test is to create a subdomain as a domain. For example, if you own example.com, create on the server mailtest.example.com, and send email.

After you verify it works, suspend the site, and try sending email again.
