Hello,
i setup a new domain and for some reason the www.drie17.nl is at the root of my server in stead of drie17.nl which is at the right place??

I cannot see where i goed wrong??

this is the httpd.conf
ServerName www.drie17.info
ServerAlias www.drie17.info drie17.info drie17.nl www.drie17.nl
ServerAdmin ##@drie17.info
DocumentRoot /home/drie17/domains/drie17.info/public_html/

the info domain goes wel. the drie17.info is now redirected via .htaccess to the www. so you cannot see the diference.
Does anybody know where it goed wrong???

It really doesnt matter there is no right or wrong way to do it. Most people think www.domain.com is right for SEO. You can just use .htaccess to redirect to wherever you want anyways. It is based off the value in servername it will superceed the serveralias settings. But I wouldnt worry about it if I were you because it is right the way it is now for SEO. Just use a .htaccess redirect if you dont like the way it is.

Thanks for your reply,
But the SEO is not the problem..
www.domainname.com and domainname.com should resolve the same site. But with www it goes to the root of my server. But without www it goes to the right path on my server..

Then you have dns wrong or something. It will match the first vhost. Make sure your hostname of server is not your domain name.
