I pasted a private key, cert and then the CA cert generated on a different server into DA (we're changing hosts).

Though DA said it was fine, the server continued to use the host's shared wildcard cert and when contacted the host told me if it wasn't working it wasn't installed correctly. (We're using a temp account domain before DNS propagates.)

So I generated a new CSR in DA, had the cert reissued from Comodo, but when I try to install it I can't get DA to update the private key -- it's stuck on the old key (and cert) and I can't get rid of/erase them.

When I try to past the new cert with no private key it gives me an error 'no key found'. When I paste the new cert after the old key DA actually takes it but I still get the host's shared wildcard cert (it doesn't work).

How do I find/use the key that was created by DA when I did the CSR?

Thank you!
john.

Follow-up

I'm actually thinking it's the other way around -- that there is only one Private Key (the old one) and DA generated the CSR using it (if that makes sense).

Everything seems fine on the DA side. Why wouldn't the cert be served correctly?

I'm going to close this thread after I make this response; please do NOT double post.

I've already responded to your post in the other thread in which you wrote.

Your saved Private Key is shown in the Certificate textbox, and that's where you paste the replacement (new) Certificate under it, replacing whatever old Certificate was there.

If you created a Certicate with an old CSR, then the Certificate would be created only to work with the old Private Key.

In which case after you follow my points in the other post you may need to have the Certificate reissued with the new Private Key, by creating a new CSR with the new Private Key.
