Yum Segfault error after doing updates.

Hello all,

I noticed this morning when going to perform an update on the kernel using yum, that I immediately received segmentation fault errors. If I try to even do the command "yum --help" I get segmentation fault error.

This was working yesterday prior to doing updates with Custombuild of apache, mysql, php, suphp, etc.

Any ideas what is happening and how to resolve?? I have removed and reinstalled yum-2.0.8-2.centos3.noarch.rpm (centos 3.3) already and that didn't solve it.

three things are common and come to mind:
-hacked
-bad hdd
-bad mem
