cPanel has some of these tools, but because it is just a bunch of numbers, they it's hard to draw conclusions from them. Nagios is very capable, but wow, the setup and maintenance, ugly screens, and then you almost need to get and setup Cacti to do the graphing.

Take a look at Zabbix. http://www.zabbix.com/screenshots.php It is light weight, free, graphics built in, and they offer commecial support if you want it. It would make what comes standard with Plesk and cPanel look silly. You don't have to get carried away with it, just CPU quantity, CPU usage, network usage, memory usage, disk I/O, and percent disk space usage. That's about as basic an install you can do with Zabbix. Morever, you can setup your own page to show what you want to see. Throw an icon in DA's admin area to call it, and call it good.

Thanks...I'm going to give this a try.
Here are some comments from people using it that I scooped on WHT. "We use zabbix and its very easy to use & install." "I second (or third...) the Zabbix recommendation. I've used it personally for over 6 months and just deployed it for our company a couple weeks ago. IMO it gives you everything Nagios does and more and is much easier to setup and maintain."

After looking at it for a while, I realized that Gary at Dixiesys used this when I started working there....we found it was extremely inaccurate. Maybe it's improved over the last few years..I'll see.

A lot of people like it, and I haven't heard a comment like this before about it. I'll be waiting in eager anticipation of your results.

Thanks!
