Zone Files Transfer

Hello,

I am having two DA server's, In the admin CP of one DA server if i click on 'Delete Selected' without checking any zone entry in any of the Domain's zone file, all the zone records get imported in the other DA server provided multi server is turned on.

Can any body let me know the logic used behind the same? hw it works ? is there any setting from the server side itself..?

The basis behind the transfers is that any time the local dns zone is re-written, the new zone should be transferred to the remote server.

If you delete a record, this will trigger a rewrite, so again, the new zone is transferred.

By not selecting any records, a rewrite will still happen, just that no records are removed. This may be a bit confusing but is extremly handy to force a zone transfer without having to make any physical changes to the records. So what happend was actually intentionally done that way. We could have generated an error message that said "you did not select any zones" but this was more useful, once the reasoning behind it is understood.
