API command for changing MySQL user privileges

Is there an API command for changing MySQL user privileges?

Or better yet, may be CMD_API_DATABASES can accept some additional parameters to create a new user with the correct privileges in the first place...

I suggest searching for APIs like this:

Or, for this case:

http://www.directadmin.com/search_versions.php?query=priv

Newer additions are at the bottom.

I did have a brief look for this, didn't notice anything. Might have missed it though.
