removing plesk and install directadmin

I personally think it's better to completely re-install Linux on that server, and then do a new installation of DirectAdmin on top of that...

Most hosting control panels (like Plesk, cPanel, ISPConfig, etc) leave many traces and configuration files around the system - so it's always difficult to "completely" remove it.

Take my advice and do a "clean" installation of your operating system.

I vote for reinstall as well. Different control panel have different ways of doing things :)

Removing plesk removes a lot specialized RPMs. If some of them replaced important RPMs from the original install, there are going to be problems.

I'd recommend a complete OS rebuild, and it's what I'd do.

chatwizrd, do you have any specific instructions?

Jeff
