I ran suphp for about a week. God that created my own personal nightmare.
suphp sucks up memory like no tomorrow. Needless to say it caused services to crash constantly. (apache, dovecot, ftp, ssh, directadmin)

Now Im really curious if any other server admins use suphp, and if you do, how do you manage it? How many domains do you have on the server, what specs you got?

Im setting up a new box, core duo 2, 4gb ram, but Im worried that even with that it wont hold up. Any suggestions, workarounds, alternatives are welcome.

i run suphp with 20+ servers, don't have big problems, memory usage is fine, but it consumes lots cpu resource

some have more than 300+ users with thousand domains, quad-core server with 4g ram

Note that with > 250 domains DirectAdmin may fail to restart apache; search these forums for the fix.
