jailed ssh colours

Found this great script for ssh jail:

works great !

but how can i add to the jailed ssh users that they have colored based folders etc ?

I think he is talking about terminal type ? (xterm, vt100...etc) so that a jailed user can see directories with, eg. blue in color via a SSH client?

it should be in /home/jailed_user/etc/bashrc or /home/jailed_user/.bashrc but it doesn't work for me either.
