E-mail Forwarding not possible

When I forward an e-mail I get the message with the following:

This message has been rejected because it has
a potentially executable attachment
(text subject).eml
This form of attachment has been used by
recent viruses or other malware.
If you meant to send this file then please
package it up as a zip file and resend it.

How can I solve this?

You're forwarding your email as an .eml file. The recipient doesn't like .eml files.

Either talk your recipient into liking .eml files, or don't forward email as .eml files.

Is this DirectAdmin related?

Jeff

Hi Jeff, you are right that this isn't a DirectAdmin related issue.

Maybe though you can help me.

In Dreamweaver I made a form that a visitor can fill in some questions.
When he replies the mail goes to the standard email of my homepage.
That is a adress that I don't normaly have that is putting in the adress: info@...
But it comes from randstad22@....

I want to forward this (randtad22@... to another mailadress but the message is still putting it in the info@.... mailbox and is not forwarded to that other adres.

I made a filter rule in my mailprogram (thunderbird) to forward a mail with a sertain tilte and then the message is given the error.

I hope you understand what I ment.

Does anything in DirectAdmin require forwarding as .eml files? I don't think so.

OI think the problem is how the OP is forwarding.

You're forwarding your email as an .eml file. The recipient doesn't like .eml files.

If he is using a DirectAdmin server to send the email and attachment then its not the recipient but his own server blocking it.

Emails should be forwarded inline instead of attachments. Forwarding an email as an attachment as an .emal file is an executable file that can potentially be a virus.

No but DirectAdmin installed system filter will block it at the sender level long before it gets to the recipient.

e-mailclient

After filling in the code ,a href="mailto.....joop" in the welcome.html. The answer is -"Can't execute the operation because of unjust installation of the standard-e-mailclient.
Wat's wrong?

Greetings Joop Kieviet

I'm confused. Do we have a language difficulty, perhaps.

what do you mean by filling in code in welcome.html? Do you mean that's code on a website and when you click on it, you get the error message from your machine? If so, then that's coming from your desktop system.

Jeff

In my website jckieviet.nl is the name Joop Kieviet, when you click on it you should get the e-mail adress, but then there is the message coming on as in my message is mentioned. "Can't execute the operation because of unjust installation of the standard-e-mailclient!". The e-mail adress is the same, which I normally use, the code I have used in the website is correct.

Something must be wrong with your computer. The link works fine for me, opens a new email window in my email client.

It works properly for me as well.

And your code is correct as well.

As I said previously, and as floyd has said directly above, the problem is with your local machine. I don't know what it is, but it's not the code, and it can't be your system because the email popup occurs on your local machine, not on your server.

Thanks for the information, I have W7 and no more Outlook, may I should try to make extra email accounts in window live and see what will happen.
