Hello

when i tried to cretae a user manually in directadmin
i get following error

Error creating User: useradd.orig: group 'xxxxx' does not exist
Cannot find a home directory after the system user creation for xxxxx
The home directory for xxxxx was not created.

i do tried http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=172

what is the problem ?
 
hello
no help recived neither form direct admin support or froum users untill now

here is the directadmin error.log

error adding group username groupadd: cannot lock /etc/group; try again later.


what shall i do ?
 
You've got some kind of error in your filesystem; maybe something is full, maybe a drive is going bad. I don't believe anyone is going to be able to help yu without a root login to your server.
