How to disable directory path + compressing zip files

When I add files to the clipboard and compress them using zip it includes the full path of the files (IE: /domains/public_html? etc...) how do I disable this either temporarily or permanently so that the files compressed only include the folders/files I want?

Example: If I select a folder and a few files it should put the files in the root directory of the .zip and the folder in the root directory along with them... Like cpanel does.
