I have a VPS at TransIP with their Datacenter DA-account and I recently got a VPS at Hetzner with a Full DA Licence on it.

I want to move all acounts from the TransIP VPS to the Hetzner VPS.
Started out with moving a few personal domains to the new VPS for testing (deleted them at the old VPS).
Later I copied all domains to the new VPS, thinking I would do last backup and restore before the final move.
Turned on Multi Server Setup thinking this would help a bit...
This morning I got complaint from a forum on one account, that posts are disappearing and people get logged out everytime.

Both VPSs are running under the same domain by the way, but under different sub-domains.... vps1.domain.com and vps2.domain.com

I looked at both DA-panels and all domains/accounts are again present on both VPS's....!
(And because DNS-propagation timing, both VPS's are serving both the same domains...

When I turn off MSS at one VPS and go to the other DA-account (different tab in browser) then MSS is also shows as turned off...
(If I turn it on again, and switch to the other DA-account, MSS is also switched on again....)
Seems like a cookie or session-issue/bug perhaps?

I'm certain I have some NAmeservers issues at hand too, but I'm at a loss at moment why both VPSs now have identical overal settings everywhere...?

----------
EDIT... Just found out that the old VPS DA-subdomain (vps1) is now also running on the new VPS under its new IP....
That's why I was seeming everything similar in 'both' DA-accounts....
I screwed up I guess.

Can happen to us all. Setting up MSS can cause issues because how does the nameservers know (when using the same domain) on which ip to run?
Best is to keep that off during server migrations.

I always setup the main domain on the new server first. Then setup nameservers with new ip's and all and then move everything.

Anyway, seems you found the cause so it should not be a big issue anymore to get things fixed.
