Hi everyone,

I’m planning to move my website and email hosting from DirectAdmin to cPanel, and I want to transfer all email accounts along with their emails, folders, and settings.

I’m looking for guidance on:

  1. Exporting all email accounts and data from DirectAdmin.
  2. Importing emails and maintaining folder structure in cPanel.
  3. Preserving email settings like forwarders, filters, and autoresponders.
  4. Recommended tools or scripts to make this migration easier.

Has anyone done this before? Any step-by-step instructions or best practices would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,

Wrong forums I believe. Hardly you will find a solution to migrate Directadmin accounts to another control panel here. You will be probably more lucky to find such a solution on another control panel's community forums.

Thank you for posting

hey,
moving email accounts from directadmin to cPanel can be done a couple of ways. If you have root access, the cPanel Transfer Tool can often handle the migration and bring over full accounts, including mail. If that’s not an option, tools like imapsync work well to copy mailboxes and preserve folders. There’s also the manual route where you extract the directadmin backups, move the mail data into the right directories on cPanel, and fix permissions. It mostly comes down to what level of access you have and how many accounts you need to move.
