The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Some Account ', Server:
'mail.somedomain.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

This is my first client who is reporting that their ISP requires SMTP traffic to be sent over port 587. The above quote is the error they get.

I have opened up the port on the firewall and setup Exim to listen on it.

From the server itself, I can telnet to that port, but I can't test here from home because my ISP seems to block it.

So, is there anything else I need to configure besides setting up Exim to listen on that port?

Doesnt exim also run on 587 by default?

That depends on your DA version.
(Very) Old DA versions use exim config file which only listens on port 25.
More recent versions use a different exim config which listens on both 25 and 587.

If you want to update your exim configuration, refer to the following HOWTO:
How to update your exim.conf

NOTE: I suggest you backup your /etc/exim.conf and /etc/exim.pl files before starting the update.
