July 2026 – Effectively the end of the DirectAdmin Legacy License

Only if you are the datacenter, not if you have been paying for it monthley then the datacenter is the owner.

    IPv6 - Server not reachable

So it was indeed Contabo's side as thought. Kon ook niet anders. Nice to read it's working now again.

    IPv6 - Server not reachable

Looks to me it's a Contabo issue in this case, normally this can not happen. I suggest contacting their support and say you loose your ipv6 after half an hour. They have to check it, this is not a DA problem as far as I can see. Contabo has great prices but is also for overselling. You can get...

    IPv6 - Server not reachable

Looks like it's happening every time. So if you turn off configserver so it will nog run, can you ping the ipv6? It might be a Contabo issue, we had once too that we didn't even get ipv6 to work on Alma 9 before installing by the command they provided. Normally it's no issue but this might not...

MariaDB 10.11 not available in CustomBuild on AlmaLinux 9.8

Again, please read threads about it, all of that is spoken of and answered before. I will do a part once more. 1.) It's part of the legacy declaring of lifetime licenses where no new features are given anymore. Development to have DA working with the new MariaDB versions (and Mysql too and OS...

MariaDB 10.11 not available in CustomBuild on AlmaLinux 9.8

You might want to check your license agreement then, because in there it's not specified, and website advertisements do unfortunatelly not count as agreements. Also the term "lifetime" has various definitions especially with software. And it's still working and you can still update. I'm also...

Spam Assassin not checking forwarded mail anymore

I don't really understand this. Spamassassin is on for a complete domain or it's not. You mean here that spamassassin has to be on for any domain you send or forward to? Maybe that is why I didn't notice it, next to the fact that we don't really do internal forwarding, but it's good to know.

    regarding CVE-2026-63030 / CVE-2026-60137

I would start with changing the password of the useraccount anyway before trying to fix other issues.

    regarding CVE-2026-63030 / CVE-2026-60137

Yes but question was how databases got created. Compromise homedir does not give yet access to create new databases. Unless same dbuser/pass is used. If not same databaseuser/pass then complete account is compromised.

    regarding CVE-2026-63030 / CVE-2026-60137

Check if it's the same database user. If yes then they could have logged in via the original database username and pass via phpmyadmin and probably create new databases this way. If I see the other things which happened, maybe they managed to get the accountname/pass too.

    Reseller Default URL

You can choose either: /domains/myurl.com/public_html/test as subdomain or create a location for yourself, so /domains/test.myurl.com/public_html is also an option for example. This can be configured during creation. Please also try first to search in the docs before asking questions. ;)...

Keep triggering IP being blocked in VPS with DA Firewall

Not that I'm aware of. You asked for a solution so your ip's would not be whitelisted and that is the best solution next to a vpn which for sure will slow down the connection slightly. Maybe I misunderstood what you needed? If you post the message you get from CSF then it's a lot easier to see...

Keep triggering IP being blocked in VPS with DA Firewall

You could subscribe to a service as no-ip.org or something similar. That name can then be put in the csf.dyndns file and firewall restarted. However, this only affects the CSF firewall then, as far as I know there is no dynamic whitelisting for Directadmin itself.

In that case PHP is patched by Cloudlinux and you should be fine.

Agree to that, we also have customers with external domains and don't want to have automatic wildcard on everything.

    Reseller Default URL

Runs fine, yes. Securely no! At least not if you don't use Cloudlinux, because PHP 7.4 was already EOL 4 years ago (november 2022) and not patched anymore. So any vulnerability discovered will make your system insecure unless you're using Cloudlinux or can patch PHP yourself. But that is a...

    Reseller Default URL

You can't change PHP version for only selected folders/directory's. You can only change PHP versions per domain and for subdomains. I would suggest searching in the docs, loads of things you can find there, like also this one...

http flooding / AI bots / DOS attacks

I don't have it as server tool yet, but I am using this on several phpBB forums and it's working great for the forums. However I don't see installation instructions in the READ.me and I personally will wait anyway until some of the issues are fixed, especially the shared hosting ones like the...
