Account creation and random password

I have noticed on several occasions that after an account is set up and a random password is sent to user, the password will stop working, its like the the password was only temp and needs to be changed at fist login .
If I send another random password to client, all is well
anyone else have this issue?
DA is up to date and has happened with other versions of DA, dont remember the exact versions but was 1.37-1.39

You must have something set on your OS that is doing this. Da does not hold passwords it only reads them from the OS.

Restoring a backup will change the password to whatever was in the backup file. This is a design decision and to me it makes sense because we use backup/restore to move sites between servers.

Perhaps there could be a choice to restore passwords or not. I'm not certain how easy it would be to implement.

For newer version of DA, you'll notice the Admin Level -> Admin Backup/Transfer has a "what" option for step 4 with the backup. We eventually plan to add that same "what" option to the restore parts, giving the Admin the option to chose what pieces of the backup he wants restored. If/when we do this, that would likely be the ideal place to have a "System Password" option for the restore.
