Adding an User to a Domain

I am on a VPS just for my own site (one live domain with a sub domain for dev/testing). Just moved from a shared/cPanel thing and I am fresh, as of today, to DirectAdmin. One thing that is driving me crazy is that haven't figured out how to add a new admin to a domain. I created a new admin but when I login in using that login I am not able to access the files in my primary domain.

Let me restate the question because I am not sure if I made what I am asking is clear.

Question
How do I create a new MySQL database and user with the same name as was on my old host?

What I Did
When I received access to my managed VPS. I was given a default admin login with root access. I used that login to create domain for my registered domain.

All I will be hosting is a Wordpress blog on that domain. I wanted to create a second admin account for that domain so when I create my MySQL database it would have the same name as my old one at my prior host. It just seemed that would make restoring my DB easier.

I created an admin with the same name as on my prior host but when I logged in as that admin and switched to User Level, when I attempted to view the files for that domain using the File Broswer, I could not see the files.

How do I allow the new admin account to have access to the files and to create DB for that domain?

Thanks in advance.

You may not be able to using DirectAdmin; DirectAdmin uses it's own naming convention. Since the entire virtual server is yours, you can probably create one with any name you want using phpmyadmin.

You're using the word admin. Since a DirectAdmin admin is an owner of the server I'm not sure if you mean admin. Do you mean what DirectAdmin calls a user?

If so, then the answer is that since a user owns domains, a domain cannot have multiple users.
