Adding IP's to server

Hello,
I am looking to move few IP's from older server to new DA server as i have completed accounts migration, will adding the IP's through 'IP Manager' will do the job? i happened find another article https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=418 , and i am bit confused about this.

Hello, just add ip's to the ip manager. That's it.

Thanks, but i will probably changing main server IP too, in this article https://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=250 it is said that IP's should not be added through 'IP Manager' .

In that case you can better first change the main ip like in the help section and afterwards add the second ip.
