Adding large number of addresses for mailinglist

I want to use the mailinglist, where untill now I have used yahoogroups.

Anyone know how I can import some 1000 addresses, or can I only add them one by one?


Anyone have experience with both this majordomo and yahoogroups?
My interest is to be able to control the list better and not to have any advertising.
