Hello,
We had to add an IP to DA, one reseller wanted SSL, so we need to assign that new IP to him.

We added the ip, and in IP management we see it, as free and no users.
Do we click share first,
then add it to the resellers site ?

See the reseller wants this IP for himself, and already has his site shared.

So Im unsure of what steps must be taken to prevent down time as much as possible...

Also, do I have to add records to his DNS or will DA do it ?

Bewildered,
Glenn

You can not share an IP address and have a certificate on it at the same time. You will have to get another IP address that your reseller can share and dedicate the other IP address the user.

That is unless the user is the reseller in which case you can add a cert but the cert will only work for that reseller's user level domain.

i.e. Only one cert per ip

Ok, so with that , does the ip show as shared ?

How do I assign it to the reseller as the user ?

Would it be easyer to del the domain, and re-create the user with the dedicated IP ?

as an admin you would be on the admin menu, click ip management add the ip and click the check box then at the bottom you click "assign to reseller" and that's it.

it would show they own it after under the "owned column" note this is different than the IP management under the reseller level.

Ok, as ADMIN, I did that, but in IP management the ip shows the re-sellers name under the reseller columb, not in the user(s) columb, Is that ok ?

yes that's fine, then the reseller can log in and under their version of IP Management they can assign it to a user.

pretty sure at least :D

Thanks, I just found, List users,
Modify your own User data
and in the drop down, set the ip ;)

I just didnt click around enough !

THanks
Glenn
