admin backup restore issue

I have two servers both running DA.
svr1 was my primary which recently died.
the admin backup was ftp'd to the secondary along with user backups, just in case but for some reason the stopped mid april.

I'd also been downloading offsite back-ups as a precaution so all was not lost.

My problem is that as I'd not had to do this before I restored clients back-ups first (effectivly starting again) with new accounts created by the new admin (experienced hand please stop laughing :) )

Now I come to restore my main sites I've found the problems :)

Is there a way to merge the admin back-up from the old primary with the admin accounts on the new back-up server?

If not what's the simplest way to get back up and running?

Can I 'borrow' a virgin DA install somewhere and then back-up at site level to get the db's etc?

Thanks

Kev

I hope yhou've already been able to move forward; it's already been over two days.

Without seeing the situation on your server it's hard to tell, but I'd guess that if the server is working properly but just doesn't have the new sites on it, I'd upload the backups somewhere, open the tarballs, and move files as required.

You may have to restore resellers and users manually.
