When I woke up this morning this idea popped into my head.
DirectAdmin should have a option where you can enter in a screen name into the control panel. Directadmin would logon to that user name and be accessible. It should have some type of codeword that is not the same as admin/root password. The aim user will sit online all day long. Something happens such as the web server going down. The admin can send a IM to the AIM username providing the code word and a certain command such as "codeword httpd restart"
The server gets the command and restarts apache.
Having a feature like this could make it very easy for a admin who is on the road and wants to restart via cell phone. It would also be faster than logging into a shell or the control panel. Obviously the admin should not give out the aim name to anyone because he does not want people tampering with the server.
