Anooying And Incorrect ROOT emails.

Hi community having an issue with a new server setup and hope someone can advise.

Im getting constant root emails in the mail que frozen with the following errors and problems.

The sender seems to be from <>

and despite settings up root: [email protected] in /etc/aliases it still tries to send email notifications to root@digitaldev, as you can see @DigitalDev is not a domain and i dont know where the panel is getting that from to use it as that isnt the servers hostname either.

Have you also changed your admin e-mail in DA itself?

It also can depend on the system. Try creating in the /root folder a .forward file with your e-mail address in there, maybe that works?

This might be part of the problem. That is not a real active hostname.
So you want want to check your hostname settings, also if possible in /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname just to be sure.

Be sure an A record exists for your hostname or create just a domain hostname.domain.com for your server.
