antivirus / antispam

I currently don't have any antivirus software installed on my DirectAdmin VPS.

I am not reselling space and I'm the only one who uses this VPS for hosting and email.

Do you recommend installing antivirus/antispam software even if I'm not reselling space to users?

Which software do you recommend to install?

clamav will help protect people visiting your web site and any email that flows through it. AFAIK there are no current viruses that infect linux machines. Linux machines can only be a carrier. So it depends on what you think you are trying to do, protect the server or protect the other computers that connect to your server.
