Hello,

My small server with DA is running for a long time. I decided to migrate to another server and now I`m preparing it. I use my personal custom software installation location. I don't use custombuild. My software goes to /opt . And it runs like it for long long time.

In new server I decided to include more existing functionality from DA (some of them I do manually). And here the problems comes out.

In current server all domains are from stone age, so DA did not do any config rewrites. I could turn off DA and leave the server to run for next 100 years with out the problem. But in new server then I order to rewrite httpd users config I see its add a banner and ServerRoot in data/users/username/httpd.conf

# Frontpage requires these parameters in every httpd.conf file or else
# it won't work.
ServerRoot /etc/httpd

And I don't like it. I see it is hardcoded into /usr/local/directadmin/directadmin
Ok, if it needed to add ServerRoot into every user httpd.conf, let it be, BUT PLEASE LET IT BE CUSTOMIZABLE.

I know how to make work around for this problem but It would be great to have this as option.

Thanks

Frontpage requires these
Frontpage is end of life and end of support for many years and even in the old times I was able to user frontpage with public_html as is used in modern panels like Directadmin.

The server root is /var/www/html and that's only for system files of apache.

For customers (so account) you upload their html files (so website stuff) to their public_html folder by FTP.
The raw path is /home/user/domains/domain.com/public_html if you look at it at html.

You can change the docroot for uses in a custom vHost, but they will still be in /home/users/domains/domain.com/customdocroot so I don't really understand what you're trying to accomplish. DA always worked like that as far as I know.

Maybe you can use examples so I better understand what your problem is?
