Good Day,

An ISP provider we use has recently closed off port 25, which now requires us to use a Smarthost to send and receive emails correctly from our existing hosts.

I would like to know if it is possible to install another DirectAdmin instance and configure it as a Smarthost that authenticates via IP address rather than SMTP authentication, so that it can relay emails from our affected hosts?

If this is possible, I would appreciate guidance on how to set it up. The new instance should also be able to send and receive emails normally, in addition to acting as a Smarthost/relay server for our other servers.

I reached out to DirectAdmin support but was redirected to the community. Any assistance or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,

Thank you for posting. I don't recall any existing full guide for this case. So first of all I would suggest that you check existing docs and threads. You can easily find them using Google. Here are some examples (you might use other keywords as well):

- https://www.google.com/search?q=mail+relay+site:forum.directadmin.com
- https://docs.directadmin.com/other-...ot-proxy-server-for-clients-smtp-imap-and-pop

Then after reading existing articles and post, if you have question, you are welcome)
