Hi,

Somehow, all user directory's folders got removed (in /home/, where /username/ is suddenly missing).
Luckly (I think), I've made a full backup some time before it happend.
Now I have a lot of files called like user.adminname.website.tar.gz in /home.
How do I restore them?

When I go to CMD_ADMIN_BACKUP -> "Step 1: From Where" I chose "/home", don't touch step two, I don't get any files to chose in step three, and I therefore can't import them.

When I copy a backup file to my user's map and I login into a user account, to restore a backup, it says I can't restore the backup because:
File is not of type tar.gz: sh: /home/NAME/backups/user.admin.NAME.tar.gz.tmp: No such file or directory

Any help on how I restore this backup?

If the user directory's folder is (/home/username) is missing you'll have to delete the user and start over. You may need to create an empty /home/username as a directory before you do this.

If you have backups, then you'll have to download those files to your local system, untar them (you can use winzip to do that) and figure out what you've got to upload.

Caution: you may have lost everything related to the user; following my instructions you may lose everything related to the user you don't already have.

You may want to have a contract administrator look at your server before you do anything, depending on how important this site is to you and/or your client.
