I have been using the same exact cron jobs to run my backups for at least two years. I have also done many restores in that time frame. The backups are still running fine but restore does not work.
I am backing up and restoring through FTP into a server that sits in the same box at the Colo. From the "Manage User Backups" page. My restore settings are (for example):
Step1:
FTP checked
IP. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Username: username
Passowrd: ******
Remote Path: /backups/thurs/users
(Press Update Files)
Step 2:
Use the IP stored in the backup. - is selected.
Step 3: Select Files
Location: ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/backups/thurs/users
THIS IS THE ERROR:
Not a directory URL:ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/backups/thurs/users
This is the same user name and password I used for the backup. I did a test backup on a small file to be sure. I can ftp using these settings. One strange note: If I create a test backup at the root of the ftp folder I can restore that. the Update files shows the listing. It is only when I try to list files in a sub-directory that I get this problem.
I have updated my direct admin to 1.32.2 recently. Don't think I have changed anything else lately.
Centos
Apache 1.3
PHP 5
Mysql 5
ProFTPd 1.3.1
