Backups - 500 Internal server error

Hello,

What's the best way to backup mysql + all the directories? Currently DA backups everything (mysql + directories). But when it does, my site starts giving 500 Internal server error. When the backup finishes the site goes back to normal.

Please see the attached image, mysql is using 100% CPU.

Actually you would need more performant server.

You should use script but the result would be the same...

And what is the reason of 500 error in your particular case? Did you read logs of Apache?

Intel Quad + 6 GB RAM, I think it's performant server.

I think its because of the high server load. I didn't find any thing in the logs of litespeed.

Well, yes is a nice box but should depend on how many websites and visit there are...

Try as zeiter sayd the mysql tuner cause the mysql load was at 99+%

Well there was a problem with sphinx, had nothing to do with webserver.
