Just a heads up, and I don't know who else this may have happened to, but last month one of Softaculous' guys came in advertising Backuply FREE with their premium licences. As you would, I installed Backuply and put the licence in my Softaculous Account for safe keeps. I've just been charged $10 by them for 2 Backuply Licences which I'm going to query as that wasn't what I was led to believe it was (Touted as free). Might be worth any of you checking your Softaculous client accounts to see if you've been deducted any monies for this or at least keep eye open and make sure payments are set to manual so they can't go in automatically.

Whilst I don't mind paying for quality helpful software, I do mind paying for things I wasn't told about or expected.

I guest, it's "Trial License"... that's meant it's free-temporary access feature and charge after end period times.

That's certainly not as it was announced.

You might want to contact Softaculous and ask what's the meaning of this and point to the post I linked to.
Or maybe @brijesh-soft can explain what is happening.

@Richard G
You can see the type "Trial", and the expired date is tomorrow.... so it's automatics renew the license before expired.

If it's "trial", it's not free, it's just temporary.

so just contact the Softaculous or Backuply for more information.

I`m just wondering, if this comes if you install it by yourself, instead of using the banner button from the softaculous admin backend, to install it. Maybe the both install options behave different.

I just checked my softaculous client area. I see no license there for Backuply, even i have it already installed (via Softaculous Admin backend with the banner button). And there is no new invoice, or amount deducted. So it really seems to come on how you install it. You should contact @brijesh-soft to get that sorted out.

No the initial installation is trial. Then it automatically changes to free (or non paid registered if you want ot call it that way) license. Lots of licenses install as trial and change to registered after entering a license key (for the paid model).
In this case, the Softaculous premium license should take care of that, which makes it a non temporary license to use as announced.

As you could see, in same thread in @johannes case that worked correctly.

Looks like it needs to be installed in a different way to get it registered correly from what I read now here.
He should contact them anyway.
