Best way to setup my admin/resell/user rolls??

I am confused with the different levels of access.

i want to setup my main site on its own IP and sell accounts on a different shared ip (users?)

Am I supposed to setup myself as a reseller with my domain, and the users I create are the new hosting accounts i hope to get???

why cant i edit a resells domain after they have been created? Does that mean I have to delete them if i want to make any changes to the reseller domain?

This is setup very strangely. Any guidance on this would be appreciated.

If I were you I'd ignore the default reseller and user levels of your admin login. Since they're owned by admin, by default they're unlimited.

Then i'd create a reseller login for myself, and users under that.

If I understand correctly, I should just setup my domain, email, sql databases, ect.. manually? Or is there a way to do that directly in the admin panel?

Part of the reason I was using a reseller and then a user, was so I could use the sql database tool etc...when I am logged in as a user.

Still not sure I understand....

As admin, first set up one or more reseller packages and then a reseller.

Log into that reseller. Then set up one or more user packages and then a user.

Host your domain as that user.

I have a problem with this also (was a cpanel user for long time)

let's say my domain for hosting is test-hosting.com
I created a reseller, let's say test-reseller. it asks for a domain. i enter test-hosting.com
after that, i create a hosting package
after, i try to create a user, let's say test-user. it asks for a domain. here is the problem: i will not let me use the domain test-hosting.com. how can i host test-hosting.com under this user then?

If you enter test-hosting.com as the reseller's domain then it's already on the server; you can find it by clicking on User Level from inside the reseller login; I don't know which skin you're using so I can't tell you where it is on your system; on the Enhanced skin it's on the right side in the blue side panel.

Or you can delete or change the name (also from the user level) and recreate it with it's own user.
